Zircon Design and Build completed a large building project for us in 2019. The work included converting an existing extension of several small rooms into a large kitchen, dining and living space. It also included a new roof. From the very start we were very impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail that was shown.
We had several quotes for the work and although the Zircon one was not the lowest, we decided to go with them because the quote was extremely detailed and seemed to take into account every eventuality that may come up during the works. Our house is old and so Richard and Zoe ensured that all possible issues that may arise were considered. In the end the final amount we paid was within £100 of the original quote. Very impressive and also it meant that there were no hidden or unexpected costs!
Before the build started Zoe and Richard visited and went through the plans in detail to make sure that we had covered everything and that they understood completely what we wanted. Richard made several site visits and ensured that once the work started, we would be able to live our lives with minimum disruption. This included setting up a temporary kitchen for us and partitioning off the building site so that we experienced very little disruption.
During the build, the team on site worked very hard and Richard was able to make the many changes we wanted to make as the work progressed. Each time a change was made we received a new schedule of costs so that we were able to ensure we weren’t overspending. He was easy to contact and at the end of every day the site was left very tidy. All visits by building control were organised by Zircon and the management of the project was extremely efficient. Having building work done on your house is always a stressful experience but we experienced very little of this and the building work was finished four weeks ahead of schedule which we were very pleased about.
The quality of the work, the finish and conduct of all the workers on site was excellent. I would highly recommend Zircon to carry out building works and in fact we are already planning the next work on our house. We will be using them again!
